How to Create and Delete Custom Styles in Microsoft Word

Follow the steps below to create and delete custom styles in Microsoft Word
- Click on home tab and in the style group expand styles
and click on “create new style”.
- After clicking on create new style the following pop up window will open, here enter name of new style and then click on modify button.
- In the “create new style formatting window”, change the formatting such as style, color alignment, weight and size etc. and click on OK Button.
If you want the new style to appear only in the current document, select the “Only in this document” option.
Alternatively, if you want the new style to appear in the style gallery of all documents, select the “New documents based on this template” option.
- After Clicking OK Button, your new style will finally be created and will be added style group.
How to delete or remove custom style.
- Click on the small arrow in bottom right of the style group, a small styles window will pop up. In Styles pop up window select your custom style and then click “manage style icon”,
- in the “Manage Style” window select your style and click on “Delete” button, Confirm your deletion and Click on OK Button.
Finally your custom style will be deleted.
